The Composer

• Early Years

Born on October 14th, 1989 in Bonn, former capital city of west Germany, Rolf Vohs has been raised in a musical environment, a prominent factor that induced his incentive to now become a professional Television, Game and Film Music Composer. Furthermore he vigorously admires the works of Brahms, Vivaldi, Beethoven and indubitably Johann Sebastian Bach.

• Education

Languages were fundamentaly praised, and he currently speaks three languages fluently: English, German and Spanish. This is due to his international education from two continents.

At the age of 7 he entered the Independant Britisch Embassy School in Bonn, and in the year 2003 he relocated to Asuncion, the capital of Paraguay, located in South America.
There he graduated in a bilingual, substantially spanish private high school in San Lorenzo, adjacent to Asuncion, known as Liberty School of Education in December of the year 2007. Just 4 months after his graduation in Liberty, he began studying Medicine in the UniNort, and finally, in December of 2010 he decided to abandon his medical career for his aspiration to become a professional film music composer and music producer for video games.

In February of 2011 he emigrated to Switzerland, Saint Gallen, where he presently resides, refines and promotes his skills as a composer in advanced digital music production.
Eventually, because of specific unusual and superfluous behavior patterns and the extreme tendency to compose music for over hours, he has been diagnosed with autism, specifically the High Functioning type or Asperger Syndrome, with a extraordinary aptitude in the musical spectrum by Medical Director Dr. Niemeyer of the UPD in Switzerland, Bern, in July of 2011.

• Composition Skills

He autodidactically educated himself in a diversified manner, and gradually sought to be more than just a hobby composer. Furthermore, he quickly branched out to produce all major genres, but with main emphasis on heartly classical music. As a talented composer he refined his skills in an unexampled way that he composes music resolutely, using complex arrangements and harmonics, yet epic and truly emotional.

Rolf Vohs has received positive feedback and critics from the SAE school for being most extraordinarily talented and that his composition skills transcend that of what is teached.

He utilizes a Certified XI-Machine, a prime workstation designed for professional film composers who fundamentally compose soundtracks for film, television or video games.

• Philosophy

His motive is to revive the true essense of what describes the very word music, by virtue of his belief that music is a unique form of human communication, lucubrated through feelings and emotions, essentialy induced through the composers unalloyed passion to compose.
As a talented music producer, his love for evocative film scores, game music and tracks for TV conducted a desire to reach a absolute perfection in the ways of how to compose them.

A TV series or feature film is only as strong as the acccompanying music, and the musical score only as strong as their visual counterpart. He believes that both resonate to form a very powerful form of art capable of neuro manipulation, a reason why media companies working on games, movies, or television shows must consider such equation and correlation in art. Ultimately he believes that one should compose music where the emotions as a composer prevail over his own logic (money), alone for the sake of the very word music.
